We will draw four names from a Rockies hat at 2:00 pm. You don't have to be present to win. We will contact the winners directly and also post the names on this website. To enter please fill out the form below. Please, we ask that only disabled or injured veterans check the "Enter me in the Raffle" checkbox. This, of course, enters you into the drawing.
Additionally, Our hope is that we can create some community around this giveaway. Please feel free to join us, no matter who are. We plan on settling down and watching the game at Uptown Tavern in Denver. We would love it if you joined us. So if you win, you get to see a World Series game, if your name doesn't get drawn, you can still meet new people, share experiences, and root on the Rockies over some tasty food and drinks. Can you beat that?

Hi-
I served aboard the Coral Sea CV-43 (Aircraft Carrier). In October of 1977, we had a Post - Vietnam hit/explosion aboard our ship from a shoulder launched missle from a Russian Troller that now lies at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean near the Phillipines. 2 of our guys died and 24 of us were injured. I was one of the injured and have nerve damage and severe arthrithis in my right foot from falling from the superstructure.
I have had trouble with this for 30 years, but this, by no means, if comparible to any of the service people who returned home not whole or dead. Hand Salute to Them............
Sincerely,
Aerographer's Mate 2nd Class -Dave Kester

I am OIF II, OIF III and OEF 05-07 veteran. I was not injured in any way and I thank God for that, but I did see alot of things that I keep to myself for the most part and do not really like to share. I may not have been injured physically but mentally there are some scars there that will never go away.

I heard you on Gunny Bob last night. I am a 70% Disable Veteran - Medically Retired in 1990. I was a pilot in the USAF, but I got sick at Survival Training. The illness was service connected, and has caused me to be medically grounded, therefore unable to fly ever again! I would love to take my son! Thanks for supporting the Vets!

I served in Nam as a tunnel rat with 25th Infantry. I lost a lot of my friends and seen stuff I do not want to repeat.....I am an active member of the colorado spring V.
Brian Murphy
I served during Desert Storm/Shield in the Navy as a
Hospital Corpsmen ( HM2). I served almost 6 years in the Navy, mostly stationed at Naval Hospital Camp Pnedleton ,CA, at the Marine base there.
I served as a psychiatric technician, and worked on an in-patient psych unit, and out-patient clinic, and an in-patient alcohol rehab unit. I helped many marines, sailors, and airmen recover from the psychological effects of war. I am rated 80% disabled by the VA, but work as an insurance agent. Would love to go to the Rockies game. Whether you choose me or not, I think what you are doing is really great! Thanks!
Jason Kvasnak
My name is Jason Kvasnak and I am in the Army currently, being seen for a TBI and heart condition that came from an IED blast in Iraq last year. Because of my injury I am not with my unit anymore that I was deployed with, but they are still going back to Iraq at the end of the year without me. If I did win these tickets I would take my buddies that will be gone for those 15 months with me, to give them some enjoyment before they go back to that desert, and to let them know that I wish I could go back with them to help them out.

I am a veteran of the first gulf war and served my country proudly for 20 years. I suffered permenant and degenerative injury to my back during the war. Eventually it will be difficult to stand or walk without tremendous pain. I would love the chance to go see a Rockies world series game with my daughter while I can still hold and carry her without tremendous pain in my back.
Gary Dresner
My name is Gary Dresner, a Vietnam vet, I spent almost 3 years in Vietnam. Flew Nighthawk reconnisance gunships in support of our troops after the sun went down. In those 3 years I was shot down 3 times, and was able to limp back to the airbase with no injuries. The 3rd time though I took a bullet in the knee and thankfully woke up in the Da Nang military hospital. Through the miracle of god and some very good orthopedic surgeons I am able to walk and run somewhat which is a blessing since the Grandkids are getting harder to keep up with.
I have a 9 year old grandson that would dearly love to go to the Rockies game.

I signed up for the service when I was 17 and went to boot camp straight out of high school. I was made an example of during boot camp by having an "accident" caused by one of the drill instructors. I now use a cane to get around for the rest of my life.
Clint Harcourt
My name is Clint Harcourt. I spent 7 years in the US military and fought in Desert Storm where I became disabled. It's difficult to talk about(PTSD).
Baseball is my passion,I've coached kids baseball now for 15 years. I would love to be able to tell the boys that I coach, and my 4 boys, "I WENT TO THE WORLD SERIES" I grew up in Brighton Colorado and have been a Rockies fan since day one.
Ian Newland
Hi my name is SSG Ian NewalndI was wounded on Dec 4 2006 in Baghdad Iraq. We were on our every day Infanty combat patrol when an insurgent through a hand grenade at my gunner. It slipped passed him and landed in our truck. Ther were four of us inside and our gunner Ross A. McGinnis was standing "manning the .50 cal". With out hesitation he through himself over the grenade... He died with in seconds after the blast, The driver and other two passengers made it out with minor injuries. I was sitting behinde the driver, I received shrapnle wounds to the face both arms and both legs. I have been fighting through the Tramatic Brain Injury The large peice of shrapnle that struck my face caused along with PTSD nerve damage to my left leg and arm. I lost the use of my left hand and most of my left leg. I retain over 35 peices of shrapnle and the army says I am "unoperable". I was given a scholarship through the Sentinels Of Freedom for severly injuried soldiers and am finialy turning my life around. The hardest part besides the severe consatnt pain, is learning how to change my life with my new limitations. I'am married with two children Haley is five and my son Dryden is three, they have had it the hardest watching them learn that daddy can not play with them like I used too is heart breaking.. I am forever grateful to SPC Ross A.McGinnis who sacerficed his own life for us on that day. We as his leaders have nominated him for the medal of Honor. The president spoke of him during his memorial day speach and we belive he will get it. I have planed with a few other soldiers from our unit C.C 1-26 Infantry 1st ID and his father to be at Arlington every yaer on the 4th of Dec to pay our respects. My family and I our huge Rockies fans and when I watch the game it escapes me from my daily pain and horable memories of two tours to Iraq. If approved this would very injoyable and never forgotin...

Hello there and thank you for your raffle!
I am an Iraq Veteran, yes, but disabled, no.
I spent over a year overseas in the US Army infantry and am now back home living in Grand Junction.
It has been a long road since this war started and I can only hope that the rest of our troops can make it home soon so that they too can have a chance to restart their lives.
