Preventive Health Care Programs:

The importance of a routine visit is immeasurable. Among other things, it will help to ensure:

A brief annual health examination is a no cost physical examination and is performed at the same time a routine examination is given. It includes your pet's coat and skin, eyes and ears, nose and throat, mouth, teeth and gums. If your animal is found to be healthy, vaccinations will be administered.

Please contact us for information about the specific vaccines that we recommend. A microscopic examination of the feces for intestinal parasites (such as hookworms, ascarids, whipworms, tapeworms, and coccidia) can also be performed at this time.

We recommend that canines receive an bi-annual blood screen to detect the presence of heartworm disease. Additional health screening procedures may be performed depending on your pets' age and other medical issues.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:

Animal medicine has made great strides in recent years and pets are now enjoying much longer and trouble-free lives with the aid of qualified and conscientious health care professionals. Our clinic has many of the tools necessary to meet your pet's complete health care needs.

Nutritional and Behavioral Counseling -

We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Surgical/Anesthesia Services:

Our surgical area is equipped for the performance of a wide variety of procedures. In addition to performing pre-operative blood screening, other screening tests may be recommended in order to determine whether the patient is a good candidate for anesthesia. The patient’s vital signs ( heart rate, respiration rate, oxygen saturation) are monitored during anesthesia with modern machinery. We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Fluid therapy is administered to aid in flushing the patient's system of residual anesthetic and to keep the patient hydrated. All patients recover in a supervised environment, where the patient is kept safe and comfortable. We then design a pain management plan to fit the patient's post-operative needs.

Dental Services Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and oral surgery. Ask us about veterinary-approved foods and treats that are proven to slow the progression of tarter build-up.

Scaling and Polishing - Veterinarians use similar instruments as human dentists to remove plaque and calculus from your pet’s teeth. Polishing with a special paste is also performed to smooth out any scratches in the tooth enamel.

Supervised Boarding/Hospitalization:

We offer affordable, comfortable, climate-controlled pet boarding as a service to our clients. We give give each pet individual attention and ensure that all of their needs are being met! Our facility has accommodations for felines in our cat condos and for canines in our dog kennels and runs. Additionally, one of our staff members enjoys leash-walking dogs around the clinic grounds. Our staff is on hand to tend to any medical needs that a patient may have, from medication administration to doctor examination and monitoring. For the safety of all pets in our care we require that all vaccinations are current and that all pets are free of external parasites.

Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available upon request. We supply our visitors with food and water bowls, comfortable bed pads, and fresh towels. Science Diet brand foods will be offered at no additional charge to pets if no other food is provided. You are welcome to bring any of your pet’s comfort items from home, including toys, blankets, medications and special foods.

We do have in-house laundry facilities.

Microchip Placement A tiny microchip that contains a one-of-a-kind identification number can be injected under the skin through a syringe, just like a vaccine. It is a safe and effective way to distinguish your pet from others and to allow your pet to be tracked back to you if lost.
